Gonzaga University Introduces Cannabis Education Certificates for Healthcare
Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, is excited to announce the launch of two new certificate programs in cannabis education tailored for the healthcare field.
Starting this month, Gonzaga has teamed up with Green Flower to provide students with the opportunity to earn a Certificate in Cannabis Health Care and Medicine, as well as a Certificate in Cannabis Compliance and Risk Management. These certificates are conveniently offered online and can be completed within three eight-week classes.
The Health Care and Medicine Track focuses on exploring the medical properties and ethical considerations surrounding cannabis. On the other hand, the Compliance and Risk Management track delves into the federal and state regulations governing cannabis. The cost for each certificate is $2,950.
Julie McCulloh, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, emphasizes the significance of cannabis education in addressing the knowledge gap within our communities. The healthcare sector and regulatory compliance field are currently experiencing a high demand for skilled and well-educated professionals. Through a collaborative effort between Gonzaga University's Center for Lifelong Learning and Green Flower, this knowledge gap can be effectively filled.
Green Flower, a renowned cannabis educator, will be partnering with Gonzaga to deliver these courses. With previous successful collaborations with esteemed universities such as Louisiana State University, the University of San Diego, Syracuse University, and St. Joseph's University, Green Flower brings extensive expertise to the program.
